The Shire · village

A prosperous village in the Westfarthing built along the Water below the Hill, on whose slope stands Bag End. Home of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, it hosted Bilbo's Long-Expected Party in T.A. 3001. Under Sharkey's rule it was despoiled and its old mill replaced, before Sam Gamgee restored it after the Scouring in T.A. 3019.
