An ancient, dark forest at the southern feet of the Misty Mountains, all that remained by the Third Age of the great woods that once covered Eriador. Home to Treebeard and the few remaining Ents, it was entered by Merry and Pippin fleeing Orcs in T.A. 3019, sparking the Ents' march on Isengard.
