'The Last Homely House East of the Sea', Elrond Half-elven's hidden refuge in a deep valley of the Loudwater beneath the Misty Mountains, founded in S.A. 1697 as a stronghold against Sauron. A haven of healing and lore, it hosts the Council of Elrond in T.A. 3018 that decides the fate of the One Ring, and the muster of the Fellowship that departs from it.
